Picture this: it’s Sunday morning, you log onto your computer with one clear intention: fill out your daily fantasy sports lineup. You stare blankly at the selection of players for seconds, minutes, hours. You feel a bead of sweat run down your forehead as the clock quickly approaches 1:00. At 12:59, you frantically pick your team and submit what you know is a losing lineup. This is a tragic scenario that is a sad reality for countless football enthusiasts around the US. To help avoid this mess, I have done extensive research and came to the conclusion that you MUST have these three players in your DFS lineup this week:
Amari Cooper ($5700)
The Cleveland Browns have had a rollercoaster ride to the start of their season. They started off hot, embarrassing the Cincinnati Bengals in their home opener. Things took a turn for the worst Week 2. They lost a close game to the Steelers, but more importantly, lost star RB Nick Chubb to a season ending injury. The Browns know that changes must be made, they will need to add more dimensions to their offense if they want to be able to move the ball downfield without Chubb. Expect Cleveland to display their passing game this week against Tennessee, who has allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers through the first two weeks. Amari Cooper is by far the most targeted receiver on this Browns offense, he will be the biggest beneficiary from this Browns’ new look offense. At $5700, he is far more valuable than most players at a similar price. Expect big things from Cooper and the Browns on Sunday as they aim to prove they are not just a one-man offense.
Nico Collins ($5300)
It seems that after two weeks of excellence, people have still not yet gotten the memo. Nico Collins is a legitimate WR1 for Houston. In his first two games he has 20 targets, 13 receptions, 226 yards, and a touchdown. He is currently the sixth best receiver in fantasy football. Collins’ value may be decreased by the Texans lack of red zone opportunities, which is why he is still available at $5300. Nonetheless, his volume cannot be ignored. The Texans front office view Stroud and Collins as key pieces to the future of this offense. They will look to see just what these two are really capable of in the coming days. This Texans offense is still in the early stages of production, but on Sunday, Collins’ will continue to prove why he is here to stay. Do yourself a favor and take the most underrated receiver in fantasy football at $5300 for your lineup this week.
Bijan Robinson ($7800)
Following a very impressive comeback win against the Packers, the Atlanta Falcons have emerged as the most surprising 2-0 team in the NFL. Their success can be partially attributed to their first round draft pick, Bijan Robinson. Coming off an outstanding college career at Texas, Bijan is already one of the most elusive and versatile running backs in the NFL. The Falcons, who have a run-based offense, will look to give Bijan plenty of touches once again this week. They are going up against a banged up Lions team as they search for their third win. This game is poised to be high-scoring. Expect Bijan to be heavily involved in both the run and receiving game. He has emerged as an early OROY favorite and will be a top fantasy scorer this week.
Don’t sweat your lineup this week. Stick with these players and everything will be cool.
